ABOUT

Warkey Cottage is a self catering holiday home, situated in an elevated position on the edge of the Mendip Hills, approximately 9 miles from Wells and 14 miles from Bath. It is surrounded by open farmland and faces the beautiful Nettlebridge Valley. Until a few years ago Pitcot was a working farm, but now the land is used by a neighbouring farmer who grazes special breeds of sheep: Zwartbles (black with a white blaze) and Charollais (white sheep from the Charolle region of France). The sight of the surrounding beautiful Mendip Hills  and the frolicking black and white lambs is delightful.

FACILITIES

Accommodation

Warkey Cottage converted from an old barn in 2009 is fully centrally heated and double glazed, and has a log-burning stove for that extra cosy feel on a chilly evening. There is a television and a DVD player in the sitting room.

Indoor Tennis Court

Across the farmyard is an indoor tennis court housed in a large modern barn. This can also be used for other games e.g. volley ball, Badminton etc.

Games Room

In another smaller barn there is a a 10' by 5' snooker table, a pool table and upstairs, table football and a table tennis table.

Free Wifi

Free WiFi is installed and available in all rooms.

Garden Room

There is a garden room with comfortable seating with bi-fold doors which open out to give unobstructed views to Longleat Heavens Gate and Westbury White Horse, some 15 miles away.

Cleaning - Laundry Change

Friday is the normal change over day. If lettings are over 1 week, cleaning and laundry change takes place on Fridays -  9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
